Below 66.5 Degrees South, No. 10
Below 66.5 Degrees South, No. 35”, is part of a series that reflects the serene yet powerful presence of Antarctica waters and landscapes. The work employs a process-oriented tehnique, deliberately forgoing traditional brushes. Frozen pigments are carefully placed on canvas to melt. Their subsequent flow is subtly influenced by a fan, symbolizing the role of wind in shaping both the environment and the medium, while emphasizing the innate characteristics of the pigments.
