A-84, No 3
"A-84, No. 3" is a captivating abstract painting, part of a series inspired by the groundbreaking research of the Schmidt Ocean Institute’s R/V Falkor in the Bellingshausen Sea. The expedition uncovered a vibrant ecosystem teeming with new species beneath a massive, detached glacier.
This original artwork was created using a unique process-driven technique. Frozen pigments of watercolor and ink are carefully placed on paper, then gently manipulated with a fan as they thaw. This method allows the natural properties of the melting pigments to dictate the composition, resulting in an ethereal and evocative representation of the deep ocean.
